Caldera Villas – It took us ages to find out that the hotel name was Caldera Villas. Actually we booked a hotel called „Residence Suites“ and when we arrived in Santorini a nice lady at the tourism desk of Oia checked us is in. On the key was written „Residence Resort“. A minor detail, that might happen in Greece due to the whole crises… However, everything looked quite strange. It was not the rooms I booked, neither the view I saw… And after a long discussion a receptionist told us, that „Residence Resorts“ consist of 6 hotels, and we are now in Caldera Villas. Another hotel, but also 4 star. OK, so far so good, we thought we will give it a try, it has a beautiful terrace and donkey’s are going by and it seems to be OK. BUT, at this state we had not seen the bath room, it rather was kind of a mine than a 4-star hotel. The smell was too bad. However, Santorini is romantic, lets give it another try…. We stopped trying as we had our first breakfast without butter. The waitress told us, that today there is no butter, perhaps tomorrow… We packed our stuff and called „DerTour“. Fortunately we got the chance to move to our booked hotel „Residence Suite“…
